I can't believe this match isn't getting more discussion. Great match, tough range, pretty darned good prize table.

Very interesting match program... course of fire by itself looks to be pretty darn challenging!

Six straight days of shooting, counting the team matches. Still lots of shooting left.

This is probably my favorite match I shoot all yr. By the end of the week I definitely get the dust knocked off after not shooting all winter .

Butner is a great range to shoot. I come in here knowing that we are all going to drop points here and there to stuff you just can't see, managing the ones that you can should see and not getting caught is the trick.

Getting tight at the top. One more individual day on Friday.

Walnut or Maple?

Team day today. Things were pretty peachy till we got to 1000 yards...

"Fritz, Target 34 a fat 7 left"

Yea, that was an actual wind call (it came up a 10)

Who won? Results not updated best I can tell. They do a great job getting scores posted quickly and running the match. I’ll have to go next year to keep up my fullbore classification.

Results are posted. go here http://www.northstateshootingclub.com/newindex.htm

Butner is my home range, and I have to say that this year was some of the toughest wind we have seen for this match. Velocity wasnt the issue (I would guess the average was in the 5-10mph range for most of the week) but the changes were a bit more aggressive than the typical Butner fishtail. and we are not talking about slow changes, but fast ones, with lots of value. ANyone that broke a national record earned it! Oh, and lets not forget about the heat.....well over 90F for several days and pair firing was not helping matters.

Thanks to Norm Crawford and
crew for putting this on. Great match.

In addition the sponsors ponied up brass, bullets, powder,
A Sinclair bipod...
Proof Barrel certs for the winners
Lilja Barrel certs for second
Krieger barrel certs
A Sightron scope
A Vortex Golden Eagle
A Vortex Spotter with both variable and LER eye pieces.

and I'm sure I missed some of it

Ditto!

This was a great match, well run by some great folks with lots of great shooters in attendance. This was my first Sinclair and hopefully won't be my last.

Thanks to all who worked the match and to the North State Shooting Club for putting it on. Keep up the good work!

Great job!

Thanks,

John

I'll second that! I had a heck of a good time shooting with friends old and new last week.
A great match, and between the weather and the range, certainly a challenging one :)!

Thanks to all who made it possible!

Frank
