2018 Nevada State Long Range Championship

You're lucky to have Ben Avery in your backyard and not be like the rest of us that have to drive 12 hours or many more to get there. I confess, it's only 4 hours to Raton from the house, but damn!! it's still Raton... Sounds like if you don't give in and go, that Raptor dude is going to kidnap you!
hes got a bird name, maybe i can get a free lift:D
Now, wonder if @nikmon2 is attending. I definitely owe him a few beatings:D:p

We shot a mid range match (600) today and there was a total absence of strong wind. Go figure. I sure hope the conditions will hold for next week and the Championship. For those who have never shot in the high desert, the typical DA here is 3500- 5000 Ft. No promises.

We have a 1000yd match tomorrow. I will report after the match

We shot the Long Range match today and winds were very mild again. This is not usual in the spring but we will take it. 3- 8 mph and a little switchy. A lot of fun.

We are a small club and have worked very hard to shape up our range so that the highest quality shooters in the West will have a great time. We are a little rough around the edges but we are committed to providing the highest quality experience possible.

We will see everyone on Friday for squared practice! If you have any questions please post them. We will have a small amount of space available for last minute entries.

I am planning on being there, barring any surprises.

Do I still need to sign up or can I sign up at the range? I am hoping not all 60 spots are taken...

Bryan,
I can put a place hold if you are pretty sure you are coming up. The USPS may not get here before we squad. Friday practice starts at 8:30 . Let me know

I've always had the same concern... I fly to a few matches a year so I spend $100/year on the NRA endorsed insurance program. It covers loss AND damage of pretty much everything you travel with. Sometimes I ship my ammo in advance, sometimes I travel with it, depending on how much I'll need. If you need an address to ship to in Reno, you can always ship it to my house... FedEx is WAY easier to work with compared to USP. You need to go to an actual freight shipping center vs a fedex kinkos, but they've always got it done for me.

Appreciate the offer, I'll keep that in mind........:)

I literally JUST finished loading... I came within about 50 kernels of varget of loading my last round needed.... way to close for comfort.
