2017 Orange Blossom Regional, Florida's Premier Annual High Power Tournament!

The Sunshine State would like to invite you to it's annual Orange Blossom High Power NRA sanctioned Regional. 19 days of shooting fun and competitions, February 28th thru March 19th. First-off, on behalf of the match organizers and the Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol club board of directors, we would like to thank all the competitors who attended last year's event! We had a monster turn-out and a great tournament! :)

This year at PMRPC, we will be using E-Targets provided my Silver Mountain Targets.

1st week segment is F-Class, followed by Mid-Range 2nd week, then Across-the-Course week and ending with LEG match. There is still time to register but the slots are filling up fast! So don't delay too much! We even provide sites for RV'ers...!

Northerners, give your trigger finger a break from the cold ;) and ya'll come on down to FLA warmth!

Please consult our event website for more information and registration details:

Hey guys,

This is one of the best and well run matches in the Southeast. Weather has not always been chamber of commerce perfect, but for the most part, but way better than anywhere else this time of year. Bring the family for there is great attractions very close. Hope to see many of the friendly faces that started me down the f-class route back in 2013 at this very event.

See ya,

Steve

Today was the single string team match. FTR was hotly contested. Winds were coming from behind us and switching badly.

In the end, Team Briley/FTR pulled it out with an incredible 783-32X. The team was comprised of Paul Liebenberg, Tina Greer, George Rusnak, and PMRPC Rifle Director Francois LeBreton.

Today's match was run by Brad Sutherlan. Stats by Terry Sutherlan. Electronic Targets were used and worked pretty well today.

Next up, 2400 point team Match.

Travelled cross country to the Orange Blossom Regional,
shooting at the match was just sensational.

Terri, Terry, Jenny and Kathy were the stats crew,
made everyone feel welcome even if you were new.

Match Director Bud ran the match with the upmost precision,
whenever needed making a quick decision.

Line Officers Mike and Mike working the line,
herding the shooters and keeping them on time.

Used for the first time were electronic targets,
now tablets are the new shooting gadgets.

Francois was the software setup and support guru,
leaving nothing for the shooter to attend to.

The wind was no one's friend,
blowing and blowing until the end.

Left to right then right to left,
shooters leaving the line depressed.

The match is over, the shooting done,
all the awards have been won.

Time to pack up and head homeward bound,
leaving for now new friends found.

All in all a great match to attend,
can't wait to shoot there again.

I too shot the Orange Blossom. The organizers and all the support staff did an amazing job of making everything run smoothly, with the exception of the switchy variable wind! As a relatively new F-Class shooter (less than 1 year), I got the opportunity to meet lot's of great shooters throughout the 3 days at the event. Learned a lot from the tips I received from other more experienced shooters and folks at the barbecue - thanks Fluvio, Francois, Fritz, Helio, Jeff A., Jeff B., Jim, Larry and Paul!

Definitely looking forward to the OBR next year!

That's for sure Jeff, but a few days of pulling a trigger is sooooo much easier on my finger tips than a few days pulling on the rocks through the high flow at Ginnie!!

Thanks Jeff!
