Erud, read the final F Open scores again. It was a tight finish, and Waylon earned his trophy by keeping his cool on Friday. After relatively benign conditions (aside from a few monsoon relays) over the 3 Palma days, Winnequah finally showed her teeth a little for the 3x1000's to shake up the standings a bit. Strong, gusty winds with regular full reversals kept a lot of people scratching their heads when 8's, 7's, and even 6's turned up. Despite "Any rifles" and scopes being allowed on Friday, Palma-only shooters took the top 6 spots in the overall agg, and 8 of the top 10. Also, most (maybe all?) of us were shooting 155's. Another great week of shooting put on by the Leibetrau family and everyone else involved in making the MIdwest Palma Championship happen.
Oh yeah, Bob "Seabiscuit" Sebold was the top F-class gun, as per usual here.
Now, it's on to the Wisconsin state LR championships - Palma course today, and 2x1000's tomorrow to finish up my 9-day shooting odyssey. I'm not even close to getting sick of it! Is there any way I can shoot Palma as a full time job?

I think that Jim had his mind on the Saturday scores. I see that he shot very good for the weekend. I only received the F class scores for the weekends state championship. JBO Jim Bauer crushing most of the competition to win the F open state champion. Brian Mudd beat out some tough competition to win F-tr. Brian Bowling wins high non resident to be the first name on the new Ernie Fuhr trophy.Am I missing something? My copy of results shows Seabiscuit winning the agg by 8 points.
Kent, be careful calling him Mr. His head might start to grow, then his man bun could get too tight!Congrats guys! Great shooting Jim. Mr. Bowling did well with that Tac40.
