New rules for this season.

BENCH SELECTION

In order to let Shooters that have to travel from farther away and to keep Shooters from arriving before the Range Officers, the following new procedures will be used on a trial basis this upcoming season.

  • A chit with the Shooters name will be placed in a container, one chit per registration. Shooters sharing equipment will have their chit noted that they have another shooter behind them.
  • Approximately 20 minutes before the start of the match, the RO’s will start drawing chits
  • First chit pulled will be Relay 1 / Bench 1. If a Shooter has multiple registrations, then they will have that bench reserved in the following relay(s); as well as those that are sharing equipment. Once this has happened other chits as drawn for these Shooters will be ignored.
  • Second chit drawn will be Relay 1 / Bench 2. The provisions as stated above will apply.
  • This system of drawing will continue until all Shooters have a relay and bench. Shooters arriving after this process has begun will be either put on the last relay, or inserted on any empty spots that may occur.
The RO’s may at their discretion modify this system to make sure relays are full and this process will be subject to revisions or be discontinued.

TIE BREAKING

Due to input from Shooters the following system will be used to break ties this season.

  • First Tie Breaker – best score at 100 yards.
  • Second Tie Breaker – best score at 300 yards, to be used if best scores at 100 yards are tied.
  • Final Tie Breaker – closest to the center at 300 yards, to be used if sill tied after best scores at 300 are the same. The decision of the RO’s will be final.

Good BR match, love to see a GH match run again at 100, 300 and 500 being that there is room. A 20 min ride would be much better than two hours to Mifflin.

Are the 100 yard target the ones with the grass and you get a 0 if you hit it.
No even better
Whole target is about the size of your thumb
Bull for 10 points about the diameter of a pencil
Outer ring for 8 points smaller than a dime
5 points if you hit the hog
I call him Mr. Peanut
.

Here's what he is talking about....puts a big hole in the groundhog if you hit it !

We lost most of our shooters when we went long range, cannot see holes in the targets with that morning sun.
We are going to have some prone steel matches this year check out mdshooters.com we will be posting info there.
