2015 Elk River MN Sportsmans Club F-Class League

The Elk River Sportsman’s Club would like to invite you to our weekly F-Class League. Our league is very friendly, informal, and open to members of our club as well as non-members. New shooters are welcome. We start the season at 300 yards and shoot at 600 yards thereafter.

F-Class is the fastest growing long range rifle sport in the world. Even if you are not interested in competitive shooting, it is a fantastic way to improve your long range marksmanship, and reloading skills. It’s also a ton of fun!

We require that all new F-Class shooters attend the March 30 Orientation meeting (7PM). There, we will outline the basics of F-Class competition, safety, equipment requirements, and go over how our league operates. This meeting will be held at the Elk River Sportsman’s Club clubhouse in Elk River, MN.

Shooters who have shot in our league in the past, or those who hold NRA mid or long range classifications need not attend orientation.

For more information contact league director Jon Clauson. See attached PDF file for contact information

Sweet. got to see if I can come down for a night or 2, but with the drive I'll have to get the wife to let me. How many shots for score is it? Never been to one

Once we start rolling at 600 yards, 22 shots in 22 minutes. In reality, we usually run about 25 minutes per relay and you can shoot as much as you want in that time period. Many shoot 25 shots so their ammo boxes deplete evenly ;D
Scott

Erik, stop posting all this stuff about having to ask your wife for permission. Like many of us, I have told my wife that all this shooting is mandatory! If Lisa reads about you asking permission, she might get the wrong idea.

Roger that Scott. only reason I have to ask is that 400 miles round trip is a lot... she misses me......to fix that, I'm going to try to get the wife shooting this summer.....

Like Scott says, you can shoot as many as you want. You rent the spot for 22 minutes. :)

Note that on June 22, 29 and July 6 we avail ourselves of our long summer days, and shoot 2 relays per, so think 44 shots (or 50).

If memory serves, there was a 100 yard equipment test to demonstrate you have a 100 yard zero and 15 MOA of elevation. Is that in conjunction with the orientation or is that a separate session, or not happening this year?

Last summer was my first time shooting in the league. I highly recommend it. Great people and a good opportunity to learn a lot about shooting mid range.

We will be doing our equipment check at 300 yards this year.
