2012 Williamsport World Open

The world Open at Williamsport will be held this year on July 14th and 15th. This is the largest attended long range benchrest event in the country. Come shoot against the best!! How many shooters are you expecting to be at the world open.

He mentioned on another forum that there were 100 shooters as of yesterday.

The final count will probably be between 150 and 160. That's "normal" for the Open.

131 shooters as of today (Wednesday). We expect a few more between now and Friday. 2 more days to sign up. Friday evening is the deadline.

Why would you have to take your stock tape off? Theres no rule against it at Williamsport.

That's what the guys said down at at the last shoot at Harry Jones,They all shoot up a williamsport. Two years ago i had a new NEO and i was told i couldn't use it, Then i see somebody used one last year. I got the message.........jim

You can use stock tape, no issues. Somebody is full of crap.

You can use a NEO rest too! You'll need to move the level on the front of the rest and relocate the fore-arm stop. Reason - you need to have a minimum of 1/2" clearance from the bottom of the rifle to anypart that holds the sandbag. Those are word direct from the president of the club when I showed him my rest and asked the question to it's legality.

I guess before anyone post anything on the web they should have their facts together before posting something they have no idea what they're talking about

Two years ago i sent all the pics and info. and i was told it was not legal because it had a 3 bags on it. and the rule said a 1 piece bag. So i sold it.......jim

No one said anything about reade range. As you know you don't pull targets for the world open. So you sold a 1000 dollar rest because you couldn't use at Williamsport and then don't shoot there. Just as the stock tape and everything else why don't you quite stirring up trouble and keep your piehole shut and just come, shoot and have fun.

Sorry to have hi jacked this thread but you just get tired of people flappin their lips about stuff instead of making a call to the RIGHT people and getting the true facts and post THEM instead of what was done here.
