2008 SCPRC Gold & Silver Preview

I decided to go with Black & Gold this year for the 2008 SCPRC colors. One week to go and the competition begins.

New to 6mmBR, handle is "Spaniard" but I know 6mm folks will be coming to the SCPRC this year as they have in the past, so I thought you guys might be interested. Nice website and looks like some good info too, I'll keep that in mind. .260's have one the two matches so far, o6' & 07' if memory serves me correctly but the .243 class is always right in the top 5. We don't shoot beyond 600 yards, mostly between 200-500, just smaller targets so the flat shooting rigs really do well.

Regards, Mark

Spaniard,

Great goodies and graphics!

What's a quick summary of your course of fire/scenarios?

I'm tempted to come but my Savage 6BR is a single-shot now...

How many folks do you think will attend?

We have 36 Confirmed shooters this year spread over 6 teams, Alpha through Team Fox. Your scores are individual in value, your just placed with a team so we can know who has shot what.

COF's will be the use of Tactical Style Bolt Rifle with the use of cover, barricades under par times. We will use all 4 shooting positions at the match as well as shoot at night.

I will do a post write up week or so after the match.

Stay tuned.

Mark

"Those are really nice... I wish that more clubs would offer up awards and trophys."

FroggyOne2,
I only do this for this major event and perhaps something big, but for the monthly's I just post points on how folks placed.

It's a special event for the shooters and us, so we want to put out something nice.

Everyone gets a coin no matter what place you finish. 1-10 are .999 Pure Silver with #1 of course coated in 22kT Gold to signify first place. 11-50 are Brass that are finished in old fashion finish, they look nice too.

Maybe next year some of you 6mmBR guys can enter and represent the website, that would be cool.

Regards, Mark aka "Spaniard"
