200 20X in the .308 question

Can this round be feed from a magazine or does the OAL not allow it…..

Berger 200-20x feeds just fine in my MPA 300-WM (Remington Long Action) from an AICS mag. My COAL is 3.615".

Just measured, and with a 2.80” mag length, the shank of the bullet is 3/8“ below the neck / shoulder junction.

It can be fed from a magazine. LR308 would sacrifice alot of velocity. If it were fed from an AICS/AW it would not sacrifice so much. The bullet is long and you're looking at 22-2400 ft/s at the muzzle safely.

It would be moving awfully slow; probably too slow to get the benefit of the higher BC. In a 30" barrel with .170 free-bore loaded well longer than any AICS magazine, it goes 2640 FPS.

Im pushing them @ 2630 with a 28" barrel that has a 0.170 FB as well.

From the FWIW Dept. , You might be better off using a 185gr. Juggernaut Target , instead of the 200.20X .
