20 VT powder of choice ??

I’ve had really good results with H4198 ….. But impossible for me to find where I live .
Any good alternatives that might be readily available?

H335 works just fine. You probably won't even notice a difference. IMR 4198 also works fine. Both of those are very easy to find

I usually use AA2200, but when I ran out last year, the only thing I could find was AA2230. It worked so well I bought another 8lb jug.

AA2200, IMR 4198 or RL7 are my backups when I run out of H-4198.. I have used all 3 with good results with Sierra 32gr BK.

Here is a list with some more suggestions for recipes.
I liked H4198 too. Later on I played with the HOR 40 VMax and Sierra 39 BK and tried RE-7, RE-10X and had luck with both, as well as with N120, N130.

Availability is the main problem these days and the Hodgdon web site is showing only Ramshot and Accurate powders, but not traditional Hodgdon powders. Here is what they are showing, and supposedly these are available. I tried LT-30 and LT-32 once upon a time, and they showed promise but I never ran a lot of them.

Got great consistent accuracy with both RL-7 and N120 + 32 V-Max or 32 Blitzking. Both at 3700 (25" bbl.) have same point of impact @200.

I really like N130 in my Cooper vartargs with 32s and 205ms,so far the best shot with that load is 542 yards on a pd in Montana
