WANTED 20 vartarg reamer

Wanting to see if anyone has a 20 vartarg reamer with little to no freebore. Trying to get things together re-barrel a cz527 223 lux to a 20 vartarg.
Please let me know if you have one

I am gearing up to build a 20 VarTarg myself and have been pondering the same freebore notion. Mostly because I tend to shoot lighter bullets in most rifles. I searched "vartarg freebore" in this forum and found this picture/reply https://forum.accurateshooter.com/t...-varmint-bullets.4144707/page-2#post-39145950

Noting the .060 freebore at the bottom of the pictures, Manson's reamer print shows theirs to be .050 which would consume even more of the case capacity with the 40 Vmax. If I'm reading the PTG print right, their reamer leaves you with only .030 freebore further reducing case capacity. All of which might take from the thunder of the vartarg.

I have a JGS with go-gauge being delivered this Wednesday. .233 neck and 0 free bore. I would have to be the first one to use it of course, but I'm seriously considering renting it out to try and recoup some of the cost. I'm thinking $75 shipped.

I should have several vartarg reamers in the drawer

all are .234 neck
.000
.010
and .040

Also a fun 20x221 FB AI with .025 fb for someone who doesn't want to do a Vartarg body die

If you end up ordering a new reamer, it can be ordered with a negative freebore. I only shoot 32vmax in my vartargs. And 50gr V-Max in my 22br. so , zero or negative is what I want.

I have found you need a “0” freebore to shoot either Berger or BIB 40g BT bullets to even get them in neck of the case enough to seat and still touch the rifling. .234 is no turn for Lapua brass when they made .221 Fireball brass. Not tried any other brass. Samuel Hall
Well we all have our opinions. The specs I choose is what will work best for me with the brass and bullets I choose to use. Trust me, a ton of research, listening and headbanging was done before I made my decision.
