20 Vartarg - Important Info

I found it in a different thread, verified it, and figured its worth putting out for anyone with a 20 vartarg.

Lapua discontinued 221 fireball brass. No mas. So if your like me and use 22fb to run through a VT die to make the VT brass.. buy up.

I just bought 3 boxs from midway. So I'm sitting on 4 boxs for mine. Still newish to it, but its one of my favorite rounds I have. Hopefully 400 pieces goes a long ways.... for a few barrels..


17 mach 4 making as well... good brass for em both now dead.

I'm a Fireball sort of a guy and you got my attention on the Lapua brass.

I haven't found anything to confirm this discontinuance. Would you
please share your sources on this information ?

Might just mean a seasonal delay. To drive up demand/price???
They say right there the case is more popular than ever. I don't see them dropping it entirely.
Odd decision. Probably just a temporary machine capacity issue cranking out the newest must haves.

I wouldnt hold my breathe. Its not a popular case... im sure it doesn't move like other cases do on the shelves
