hi CATMAN,
I have a Cooper in 20 TAC. I've found good luck with H322 around 25.0gr and 32gr Hornady Z or V Max. Z-Max if they are available and the Zombies are being pesky. Using Rem 7 1/2 primers.
I'm seating them close to the lands.

You should checkout the woodchuckden.com Todd Kindler, the owner, invented the 20 Tactical and has a load book called "The Terrific Twenties" with lots of articles on several different 20 caliber rounds. He sells the book for $35 and it is probably a good investment.

When I got my first TAC 20 I talked to Todd Kindler the gentleman that invented it.
Lots of guys want fast and try the 32's....knock yourself out if you like fast or shoot ground squirrels or prarrie dogs.
For serious, IE, long range work, go with 40 Vmax or 39's. You can shoot XBR, 322, N133, tried them all but in the end, just as Todd said, tough to beat R10X which the cartridge was designed around, and buy Lapua/Dakota brass.....it's worth it.
My go to gun is a Dakota Predator with a 26" Lilja 11 twist, 25.6 R10X, and 40 Vmax, going 3920fps, and shoots in the .2's. I have several nice 22 centerfire guns that are going down the road.

Thanks Tim,I will try some 10x.I am shooting 35gr. Bergers in the low 3's using Benchmark.(25.5grs). Thanks all for the info. Catman

I have a couple of 20 Tac custom Rifles. I tried 10X but it was very dirty and ES was high. Benchmark works for me. Very small groups and great speed.

Need some help on forming 223 brass to 20 Tac. I have read that it can be done with a Hornday 20 Tac FL body die, some say that it can not be done . Any help with this would be appreciated. Catman

I have a 20 Tac. Very heavy Kreiger 10" twist barrel. When I had it built, I bought Redding die set with a Competition seater, Bushing "S" neck sizer, and a plain ol' FL die - plus I bought their 20 Tac #1 form die.

I used Lapua 223 cases.

I didn't like what a got with the #1 form die - it made long soft shoulders (looked like a 20 Practical). So I tried running the cases through the FL die. WORKS GREAT!!

Adjust the FL die so that you need to work hard at closing the bolt, so you don't get case stretching on the first firing and you will get perfect cases every time - I sold my #1 form die ;)

You may have used the original powder not the newer stuff that is noticably cleaner.
All my shooting over the chrono with the new formula, nothing big with ES I saw.

It was several years ago. Maybe 10 years. I like stable powders so I like to stay with those powders whenever I can. Thanks for the update....
