20 tac reloading

Just picked up a 20 tac and wondering what powders you guys have had luck with and what bullets seem to work well with your guys guns! I have a few 39gr blitzkings and 40gr v-max that I had for the 204. Ruger but will be starting there. Was thinking h335, benchmark, 8208 and 10x.

I haven't even looked up the specs on overall case length, trim length, coal, oal.

It's covered on the website.

I have been using Benchmark with the 40 vmax. Accuracy is in the .200 or smaller. I am running 3750. Since I dial, higher velocities are not important for shooting out to near 500 yards.

A case full of H4895 will give great accuracy & velocity with moderate pressures. Unless your rifle has an 11 twist barrel, you may do better to stick with the 39BK.

Thanks gentleman! Can't wait to get her up and running going to be ordering a set of dies tomorrow. Brass is being cleaned and prepped this week

todd kindler, the 20 tacs creator suggest 10x as the best all around powder and it works! h4198, lt 30 and lt 32 are also great...very fast! slower powders fill the case before getting the blistering speeds you can get with these faster ones.

10x runs fast alright, but gets hot & dirty when volume shooting on a p-dog town.
I've found Kindler's loads in his "17s" and "20s" books tend to be on the WARM side, so take them with a grain of salt!

I tested 10x from the start in my .20TAC, and experienced the above. Wound up switching to Benchmark for 39B-kings, and H322 for 35Bergers.
Didn't lose much speed over 10x, but enjoyed less temperamental behavior when volume shooting. Both Benchmark & H322 were wicked accurate, the 39s were clocking 3875 with Benchmark, and the 35s right at 4K with H322. 23" Shilen Select Match barrel...

I have heard good things with n-133 as well. I'll be running over to the store shortly and grab a couple pounds of mixed powders to try
