20 TAC powders

Does anyone have suggestions on powder other than 10X for a 20 Tac? Since powder is hard to find I am looking for some other options that I may have on hand. I will be using 35 and 40 grain bullets.

With 20 Practical and 40 Vmax I've had best loads with 8208 25.0 gr, Other possible powders and loads are H335 25.5 gr, LT-32 22.7 gr, Benchmark 25.5, N133 23.4 gr, H4198 23.0 gr, and H322 23.0, but start lower and work up.

For my 20 Tactical and 32 gr bullets, I use both H322 and Accurate 2015 with the later giving better accuracy. For 40 grainers, I use H322.

Case full of H4895 will surprise you at how well it works with 40gr class bullets, that would be in the range of 27grs+/-.

I'll share the test loads I used in my 20P (very close in WC to the TAC) and maybe some of your powders are included. I searched for loads in 204 R and 223 just to have a comparison basis. I used the Ba values for these powders based on my experience with the lots I had, and calculated a modest 50K PSI load. You can see my actual results on the right column. I actually used the Speer 39 gr bullet for the 40 gr titled table.

How many grains of the 8208 is max load with 35 and 40 gr?
Each rifle/barrel is different...so I would advise working up slowly in your rifle. This is what has worked in my rifle.
32gr Bullets 26.2 - 27.2
35gr Berger 26.2 - 27.0
40gr Bullets 25.6 - 26.5
