20 Practical with Lapua Brass problems ???

Anyone had problems with pressure, blown primers, or ejection using Lapua brass in 20 practical?? I have had 2 failures in my AR , at first I thought it was headspace but it all checked OK then I looked at the neck clearance and there is only .0001. Winchester gives me .0003-4th . All the problems have been using Lapua. Any others out there with similar problems ???

I do not recommend using Lapua brass with the 20 practical as the neck brass thickness is so much thicker (a lot thicker) it can result in issues (neck clearance, bullet release issues, etc.). Try Remington brand (MidSouth) or the recent new unfired Lake City brass (Top Brass http://www.topbrass-inc.com/reloading-supplies/) or Winchester brand. Domestic brass typically is less expensive and works better and shoots better IMO.

.0003-4 (3-4 ten thousands of an inch) is way to close. DO NOT shoot any more of that ammo.

You should run no closer than .0015-.002, per side or a minimum of .003-.004(3-4 thousands on an inch.) Total neck clearance.

I think he made a typo (i.e. he meant .003" - .004" but typed .0003" - .0004") - - at least I think so.
