20 Practical Bullet Seating

At first I used the RCBS 223 standard seater, worked fine. I have used my 204R competition seater, seems to work fine also. I keep watching for a used gold metal 223 seater and swap the stem as needed.

I use a 223 seater die from redding. I use 40gr vmax and have never had it damage any of the polymer tips. I have even loaded 40gr bergers. Did not touch the tips of any of them. I have heard of many guys changing out the stem for a 20 cal but i dont see the need at this point.

Modified older version 223 RCBS Competition seating die w/20 cal stem and 20 cal bullet guide. The loading window makes loading those dinky bullets much easier.
RCBS doesn't sell replacement seating stems anymore for the old version of the competition seater with the window.

The new version with the window works great but isn't cheap.

Been using Lee Seating dies for a long time. Recently purchase the micrometer seater (universal to all their seating dies) and have to admit I am very impressed with it how much easier it is making adjustments to the seating depth.
