20 Pract and 204 R Labradar not tracking

I am having trouble getting the Labradar to clock the 20's. Also not had good results with 223.
Wrks fine with the 6.5 using the same target. Unit is beside the muzzle about 8'' away, trigger level set to 1.
Bullet is 40gn H Vmax. 24gns Benchmark, Rem 7-1/2 BR. should be running about 3600 ft ps.
It did read after 2 shots out of 24.
Any one having better results? I know it says speeds up to 3900 fps but I dont think I'm there yet.
Im old and frustrated:confused:

Is it not triggering or triggering and not picking them up? If not triggering, you might try placing the muzzle closer and actually just behind the unit. I know that's a little different than what the instructions say, but Richard at Labradar had me do that to get my 6mm Remington to trigger.

What is your velocity range setting? I know mine does not pick up didly squat if you leave it on archery. Ask me how I know. Trigger setting? Doppler does not work. Ditto. They have to be looking directly at your target, the beam cone angle is not very wide. Offset? Use 12. Once I fixed the brain fart with the settings, it picked up every 20P shot till I got to 3900. Will not read above that. Additional info: I had a guy next to me on the 200 running a Labradar shooting a 338 Lapua with a brake. I think you people know how pleasant that is - not. Anyway, he shot about 30 rounds my unit did trigger on one of those shots. Separation distance about 15'. Lots of reflective surfaces, baffles, etc. I triggered his once with the 25-06. My unit did not miss a shot on the '06 or the 22-250. I'm semi-pleased. Add in the fact it will pickup airguns and my crossbow @ 392, 391, 392, 391, 391.

Hopefully 12 will work. Does on mine. The muzzle needs to be slightly behind the unit (uprange). Are you running suppressed? If so you need the rim fire trigger thingy.
