Ive got the choice of a BRNO Fox 2 in 222 or a Tikka M55 in 17 rem as a donor action to make a 20 practical with.
Any opinions on either for the task? Im wanting to shoot the 39gr blitzking or 40gr nosler projectiles with lapua brass, CCI BR primers and either benchmark, H4895 or W748 powder. Will be going for a 24 inch stainless barrel and custom stock.
Im still running around trying to check if the brno magazine will take a case that is 2.3" long.,Thats a 40gr nosler BT seated into the 20 practical case with approximately the diameter of the bullet seated in the case,0.204"). Of course it would be slightly less if i make sure that this amount of bullet is seated not including the boat tail.
