20 ppc or 20 Beggs ?

The advantage of the Beggs is just necking down the Russian case which is fairly straight forward IF I'm not mistaken . Problem is finding a smith w/reamer as it's not that well known ,then finding dies and loading info. WHO & WHERE ? Also is it worth it over the 20 ppc? Would be shooting bullets in the 32 - 40 grn. range so 1-11" ? IF 50 grns. became available then 1-9" ?

Contact Gene Beggs. He probably has the dies in stock, and would be happy to help you find a gunsmith.

Kevin Weaver just built a 20 beggs for me on a Sako 75 that was a factory PPC rifle. I used a Mueller Barrel 1 in 11, McMillian stock and adjusted the stock trigger. He had the reamer and the whole project went smooth. If you want pics or more info feel to PM me. Kevin has both reamers you are looking at in stock, the man lives wildcats!

The 20 PPC has an excellent following, has a rep for superb accuracy, holds a bit more powder, and is not overbore.

I built a 20 PPC with a PT&G REM 700 action , PAC-NOR 8.5 twist barrel , STOCKY'S benchrest stock for p-dogging and topped it with a NIGHTFORCE NXS scope. It also has a NO neck turn chamber. WOW what a great shooter!! Either would be great thou. Let us know what you decide on.
