.20 Complicated

With all due respect Orbit, I think that's a crappy way to treat your cases. I use a mixture of 90 weight gear lube, borax, and my wife's cuticle remover for much better results.
Don't forget to wet tumble with stainless steel pins to clean the case lube , then put dry neck lube in afterwards. Oh , I forgot, it needs to be a thumler tumbler too.

As Sterling Archer would say, how can you not count the granules of powder? Weight isn't good enough
Well yeah. The best way to do your powder charge is to count the granules then run them through a molecular accelerator and check them in a wind tunnel. But where are you gonna draw the line. We wouldn't want to over do this.

I'm done with this post now because I really think you guys are close to going over the edge with this subject.
I also think hogpatrol should be barred from starting any new posts for at least 72 hours until we all get over this one.

Also, let us not forget, when seating the bullets, you must, be facing north, in order to negate any potential of induced yaw in the bullet, while being seated, that could be caused by the gravitational pull of the sun and moon. If I remember correctly, this is less important if you're somewhere, at or near, the center of the earth. Nonetheless, this, as well as, primer concentricity, are two vitally important details that, must, be followed.

I'd be willing to bet that Hog has the next one planned already . . .

6.5 PITA, anyone?

I'm thinking maybe something based off the 6.5 CM. It's identical to the 6.5 CM but in the right hands, it morphs into a 6.5 OHW, good for ringing steel to 2000 yards and beyond, able to kill any North American animal out to 500 yards, and good for hunting just about any other game from the mountains of Tajikistan to the plains of the Serengeti and the valleys of New Zealand. Yep, THEE new paradigm in the Creedmoor parent based line is the 6.5 One Hit Wonder. Rookies and amateurs need not apply for it's amazing power.

Edit. B23 I like your designation better, the 6.5 WOW.

Only after you've sorted each granule by weight of course.
Loads must be comprised of weight matched kernels, OR, kernels added to the case in weight order. Which method produces better results will depend on whether or not the sum of your altitude in meters, barometric pressure in inches of mercury, and barrel temp in degrees kelvin produce a prime number.

I thought it already was everything you mentioned!

I heard it was the "6.5 Walk on water" also known as the 6.5 Creedmoor. :D

The creedmoor is the opposite of the the 20 complicated. The 6.5 creedmoor you could dump powder in blindfolded, tap the bullet in with a hammer, and it'd still shoot zero's at 1000.

Is this 20 complicated by chance formed from a 300 Dakota or similar esoteric cartridge with the shoulder pushed back 2 inches through 12 steps and 2 annealing stages and no less than 3 fire-forming steps to get the shoulder "fully formed and stable"?

I see where y'all are weighing the primers, checking concentricity and using a force pack while seating but no one said anything about annealing those primers!

Ya, but you forgot to say "if I do my part" at the end of the sentence. :D

I've heard the 20 complicated won't even shoot without a 3 groove, radiused land barrel (no sharp edges in this barrel!) that gains twist for the first 10 inches, then actually slows the twist for the last 20 inches. This configuration gives you maximum speed by expanding the bullet more effectively into the barrel as the twist gains to ensure good seal and pressure development, but then allows the bullet to speed up properly as the twist slows.

EDIT: I forgot to mention this is a special order barrel made by "Unobtanium inc." with a 5 to 10 year lead, so get in line now!
