20 BR Question

Need some help guys. While back there was a thread about dies and the best way to neck down the 6mm Lapua brass to 20 BR. Done a search and didn't find it. Need to know what die setup to order. I think the discussion was based on the Redding dies that use the neck bushings. Might have been another make. If so, what size bushing should be used? Any special technique used to accomplish this?

Do a search for 20BR,no spaces) with posts made by Fireball. That should get you all the info you need. FWIW, this is what I do: I don't have any other BR chamberings so I bought the Redding Type S neck die set for the 20BR and a 22BR form die.

1. Run 6mmBR case into a 22BR form die
2. Run case into 20BR seating die w/o guts
3. Run case into Type S neck die w/.235" bushing and button
4. Run case into Type S neck die w/.231" bushing and button
5. Run case into 20BR body die

*I use imperial sizing die wax

This works well for me and keeps the induced runout to a minimum. My rifle has a .236" no turn neck and the .231" bushing w/button works well. W/O the button creates too much tension so I ordered a .232 and .233" bushings along with a Redding carbide 20cal expander kit. I'll be testing with those soon. Necks will thicken quite a bit and they'll also get fairly long....just fyi.

I've only got about 60 rounds through mine so far but I'm loving it!
