I just had to have another rifle for Illinois varmints. 5 in the gun safe weren't enough so I had a 20- 250 built by a terrific riflesmith named Bob White out of Knoxville, Illinois on his recommendation. The usual Rem 700 action, Lilja 1:12 barrel, should'a waited for the 1:9) and a cheap replacement stock free=floated and a really cheap and way underrated 6X20 Simmons scope that works quite well. This rifle gave me less than 1/4 inch groups with the first 5 shots after initial barrel break in and I was quite happy. At 200 yards the groups opened up a bit but not more than 1/2 to 3/4 inches. I wasn't building a bench shooter capable of one hole groups, but I'm happy with what now have in the accuracy department. I'm wondering if there are any members out there who can help me out with this cartridge and with more reloading data. Right now I'm using 37 grains of H380 behind a 40gr VMax/ FedGM primer. I don't know about the velocity of this load but I don't think its off the edge. I'm more interested in accuracy than speed anyway. Thanks and I really enjoy this forum.
