2 New Pending I.B.S. 1000 yard World Records 7/24/2016

Today 07/24/2016 Two new pending 1000 yard world records were shot at Harry Jones 1000 yard range in Fairview West Virginia. It was a 10 shot heavy gun Group (2.856) and Score (100 3X) Shot by Mike Gaizauskas with a 6.5X47 Lapua. Congratulations Mike !!

Some details. Not sure if he was using this rifle but this is the 6.5x47 that Mike shoots with at my range. He uses Forster dies, Prefers H4350 powder. Is an aggressive cleaner and cools his barrel with a funnel and fan between shooting groups. I am attaching some photos of his rifle that I took at my local range. His chamber neck is a .293

I don't know anything about the hows, whats and whys of Benchrest Scoring! But I DO KNOW a phenomenal group when I see it! At 1000 yards, that is phenomenal! Look at the vertical for 8 shots! Incredible! Great shooting!

The Williamsport records pretty much appear to be in a perplexity state. Sure wish someone there with some influence (hint) would see to there updating and the issue fixed. Getting hard to take them serious at all any more, especially when its doesn't appear no one there does either, due to the lack of recognition's. I only say this because there has been nothing updated or recognized for sum 5-years now, but as you and I and many others know there has been several new records (including World records) set since then.
