2 days ago I almost walked down range for good....

Good lord that was a close call! Not many get the second chance you did, so glad it worked out for the better. Are you going the non surgery route? A close friend just went through the same thing. Was seconds from death when he finally made it into the ER. He chose the non surgery route, drugs and a healthier lifestyle.

I hope you get better soon!
They put in one stent in my heart and one in my leg... I was up and around in 24 hours... But it's time to make some changes...

A bit of sage advice for all of you, QUIT eating crap!!! I am almost two years vegan now, It was NOT easy it does leave a lot to be desired now and then. I fought it no way was I not eating MEAT well its doable actually the worst is cheese quit that first, I did it last really BAD for you, First time 47 I had to be revived, Second time 51 help was quicker, Third time 57 same as the first time just felt like crap no real " heart attack pain" was given 10 minutes or your not going to make it, Really what the surgeon said to me while he was trying to open the artery. Like stated previously you sometimes just don't know it is happening. The only time I knew was the seconded one, Cholesterol is a bitch... I still have some what elevated cholesterol but it is under control with out medication now at 61

I am sitting on my couch now , but two days ago my arms and especially my shoulders started throbbing... I couldn't take it anymore and went to the ER... About 10 minutes later I was in a helicopter.... I was having a major heart attack... No chest pains etc just shoulder pain... It's not been a great last couple of days but it's better than the alternative...

I wanted to post this because I would have never thought I was having a heart attack from the symptoms.... I was just sitting watching TV... Be careful guys it truly can happen and the symptoms can be hardly nothing.... I got lucky... I couldn't believe it even when they were loading my on life flight... But the look on the ER doctors face let me know it was serious.... You could tell she thought I was done for...
And Thanks for Warning everybody else. In this country just about all of us have some level of coronary artery disease. Our Doctors don’t warn us about this they just take our BP and pulse and tell us we’re fine for a lot of years until it gets bad enough we have some extreme systems and are on the verge of a heart attack or have a heart attack. The Doctors and Insurance Company’s play Roulette with our health in the name of making a buck. So it’s up to us to take care of ourselves the best we can and learn all we can if we are going to live a long life.

A year and a half ago I had what I thought was heartburn although I don't normally get heartburn. I had a 99% and 2 80% blockages. A triple bypass later and I'm doing great. Pay attention to those things that just don't seem right!

I'm glad you are OK. It's events like this that make me think that the good Lord has some future plans for you.

I got really bad sick feeling in my stomach and went to the ER and was told it was indigestion and sent home. Went back to the ER the next morning and was told I was having a heart attack. They sent me to Buffalo General hospital where I had triple by pass surgery. That was 22 years ago and I am still doing fine with no more blockage.

Great you made it through!

My "widowmaker" didn't go so hot. They left me for dead, telling wife tough chit a year and half ago. Complete 180 on diet, listen to docs, yadayada. I live now with a low 40's pulse rate and feel like another heart attack is eminent...... like, every cpl days. Yes,I talk to cardiologist/s.... no,there's not much they can do which now in retrospect is why they threw in the towel back then. Just didn't know how good of shape the rest of me was in.

Whatever

Just ordered a cpl #'s of IMR4831 for some jacked up cast bullet loads. Rebuilt one of our racebikes and started on another. Put some go-fast suspension parts, built inhouse for our shop truck. If/when the heart finally says seeya...... I'm gonna be grinning like a teenager.

I successfully made the dietary switch in 2000 , lost 50 lbs. and kept it off for 5 years before slowly adding carbohydrates back into my diet. BIG MISTAKE!

Gained back most of that lost weight and although I've tried repeatedly to go carb free again, the F-ing carb withdrawal is what's stopping me. Much more painful than last time. I go a week and a half and start feeling like I'm going to DIE. I've read that sugar addiction withdrawal is worse than heroin.

Just had a physical and all my blood tests came back good, so at least I've got that going for me.;)
