1st hand loads .204 ruger

24gr Hornady NTX
28.5gr H335

This load is fast and accurate...............it also looks like a bomb going off, fun times.

I recently picked up two CZ 527 Varmints in 204 and tried XBR 8208, H4895 and RL10x. Nothing shot as well as the RL10x loads for me and I really wanted XBR 8208 to work.

I found the best grouping to be with 25.2 RL10x with the 39 SBK's with everything under 1/2". I was amazed at the accuracy of these factory rifles. I have not tried the 32's yet.

RL15 and BLC-2 behind the 39gr BlitzKing shoot sub 1/4 MOA at 200 yards (0.3" to 0.4" groups) in my 204R.

Ive tested many different 20 cal bullets in many different 20 cal chambered rifles. Sierra, Berger, Hornady, Nosler, etc... Out of all the bullets I've tried 40gr and under in any 20 cal rifle, the Sierra 39gr BK has been by far the most accurate, consistent, and forgiving bullet in my loads.

Powder choices for my 204.
1-8208

2-ww748

3-imr4198

4-h335

5-reloader10.
Bullets I us. 32 vmax and Sierra. 35 gr Berger and 39gr Sierra. The 39gr Sierra is the most accurate bullet for me.

In the two 204's that I have owned they both prefered the 39 BK
in this order:
H-4895
Bench Mark
R-10
After trying H 4198-Imr-4198-H322-8208-748-335-CFL 223 & Black-130&133
7 1/2,205&205m,BR4 ,WSR

These were with Remington-Winchester-Nosler Brass

I have finally settled on H-4895(27.5) 7 1/2 ,Winchester Brass 27.5 .With the rifle that I am now shooting XR-100 it will average .3 for 3 shots with chargers from 27.1 thru 27.7,

After reloading for 50 + years it is my goal to find a powder that is accurate without having to measure each& every charge to a EXACT weight

I have two Culver measures and load at the range for most all of my rifles when working up loads and usually shoot with flags

Is the 39gr Sierra strong enough for Coyotes ?
"Strong" enough not to splash on bone like, say, the 40 gr. V-Max.; it (the SBK) is arguably the best polymer-tipped varmint bullet for coyotes.
Although I load one of my .204s with the 35 Bergers (over a compressed load of Varget as mentioned above), I've never had the pleasure of shooting a 'yote with what is generally regarded as the knockdown "king" of .20 cal. coyote bullets.

I used 10X for a time but didn't like it as i found it to be super inconstant. I now use:

27.4gr N135
Rem 7.5 primers
Nosler Brass
39gr Sbk
Tikka T3 20'
3725 FPS

Will do an inch at 380yrds all day long. Best Group to date was half inch at 318 from prone off a bi-pod
