198 gr. Flat Line for 300WM

Anyone try these out? My brother and I bought 5 boxes of these 198 gr. Flat Line bullets because they boast a .855 BC and that is unreal. I even called them up to confirm and I was told it was correct. The bullets are 1.8 inches long and most are perfect in length. I built my 300s with a 1-9 twist from Rock Creek and I have a 1-8 too. 74.5 gr. 7828ssc out of a 27 in barrel put me at 2932 fps. with an SD of 10. I have not been able to shoot past 593 yds. because the wind has been so bad here. When I shot at the 593 I over shot the target 1 min. so I am curious about the BC but I realize it's not far enough to really confirm it.

Also, I have my rifle zeroed to shoot the 230 OTM at 100 yds and I push them at 2800 fps. When I shot the Flat Line bullets I shot almost 3 inches low at 100 yards!! I thought I would have shot a little high maybe but not low. IDK....

Any ideas or feed back on the round? Thanks

I know I am responding to a fairly old thread but I'd like to hear if you continued to experiment with the 198gn Flatlines. I'm in the planning stages of a 300WM build and am contemplating using these. Current plan is a 30", 1-9 twist Bartlein, .090" freebore.

Thanks!

At a 1000 yard match, the winner held the 10 ring with these in windy conditions. The rest of us settled for 9's and some unmentionable 8's. At a $1.50 a pop, I would hope I was competing for a car, not just a ribbon.
