185 JUGG vs 185 HYBRID...

..in a F-TR .308, which one would you shoot?

What are the advantages of each, and does one have an advantage over the other?

subd....

I will be trying the hybrids first as the bc is higher.

I have read that the juggs are more forgiving than the hybrids.

My barrel hasnt made it here yet, so I have not gotten to put them to the test yet.

In my rifle the Juggs are MUCH easier to tune than VLDs but I haven't tried the Hybrids. Juggs shot the best of any bullet out there and then there wasn't anymore to be found so I went to the VLDs.

I started out with the Hybrids but switched over to the juggs. Had much better vertical, more consistent BTO measurements, and I can buy them by the box of 500 versus single boxes of 100s for the Hybrids.

It most likely will not affect you but if you have a 1:12 twist, you likely will not be able to stabilize the Hybrid but the Juggs will not be a problem.

The juggs may be a bit easier to tune but once you have the hybrids nailed down they shoot just as well and some times better (in my guns anyway). BC between the two bullets is very close so that's a non factor. If you have at least an 11 twist or faster the hybrid will probably work but the juggs shoot well in slower twist barrels also (12 twist). Most guys go with the juggs because finding a load for them is really easy. Jump em .010 to .020 with Varget/H4895 in Lapua/Winchester cases and chances are it will shoot well. Good luck.
