184 Hybrid Free bore

Is 0.220" free bore adequate for Berger 184 hybrid in a 284 Winchester?

My 284 reamer has a 0.200 freebore. I normally seat my bullet jammed or close to the lands with the 184 hybrid and the bullet bearing surface stays above the neck shoulder junction. If you plan to jump more than .050 you might want a bit more freebore to make sure stay above the neck shoulder junction.

I run a .240 free bore in my Shehane and think .235 is probly
enough..you be close with a 184 I'm thinking

0.220" should be fine. I have 0.235" and 0.215" freebore reamers and I can stay out of the donut area with both shooting 284s jumped about 0.040". The 0.215" freebore is as low as I can go though.

No...220 FB is perfect. FB range from .220-.250 and both will shoot Berger 180 and Berger 184 Hybrids just fine.
