.17R REM BEST LOADS FOR 700 REM

Please provide readers with a bit more information. What loads have you tried? Do you have a factory or custom barrel? Is it a heavy barrel? What length is the barrel? What twist is the barrel? How many grooves in the barrel? What stock do you have on this rifle. Has it been bedded, does it have pillar bedding blocks? Have you experimented with various seating depths? How do you prep your casings? Do you throw your powder charges or weigh them? If thrown, what powder measure do you have? If you weigh them, what scale do you use? What primer/primers have you tried?

Answers to those questions would help people give you better answers to your post.

C,MON LARGEMOUTH,silver fox is trying to help you your not helping yourself here.the more info you provide the better the info can be supplied if you want one of the best small calibre guys to help you, then take a little time to answer some of his questions.
this site is here to get your wagon rollin-it certainly heped me when i was stuck. soooo get your fingers tapping.

I shot a load of 21.5-22.5g of AA2015 with the Berger 25's. The lack of powder fouling really cut down on cleaning frequencies along with the speed being 3850 out of his load cut down on the copper fouling; these two issues are of a real concern in a factory barrel.

Standard load for huning when you need all the horse power you can get is 24.0g of IMR 4320 at 4150 fps with the 25's, you will have to clean ever 20 shots and get the copper out.

26.5g+ of Win 760 with the 25's is our load that we shot p.dogs with for so many years.

With the factory barrel, we ran into mucho copper with the 30's, so we avoided them, they are a superiour bullet for yotes.

We also found that coating the bullets with wax cut the copper down and added to the number of rounds fired in shot strings, the wax can be had from Todd Kindler of Small Caliber news...really good stuff for the 17 and other calibers as it reduces the Standard deviation down to single digits.

Hope this helps
