It depends on if the barrel is already free-floated completely. If it is then no probably not, unless after heating up the barrel is making contact with the stock. But unless that is the case the only benefit is knowing you have a little more room around the barrel.
 
i suppose i should have said in the first place the stock seems to be warped a litte to the left it touches on the right side of the barrel but the rifle is probably the most accurate i own it is crazy accurate. i don't want to mess anything up by trying to free float it when it is already so good but if it could be better then i have to. no reason in being second best if first is there for the takin.lol
