178gr Amax out a 10 twist .308?

That is the same load I use or 43.3 gr. slightly better in mine. It also loves the 175MK, mine is the 5R Milspec
with 11.25 twist.
The OP ma be on the 2nd or 3rd barrel by now but I decided to respond anyway.

True, that's why I said 2nd or 3rd, if the subject was .260 or 6.5CM I would have said 3rd or 4th!

I shoot em. You will find a node with Varget and Lapua brass from 42.5-43.5 grains. That yields 2680 in my tight bore Obermeyer 10 twist barrel.

Yes, in my 5R MilSpec (11.25) 43.3 grains of Varget & work great on Deer too!
