178gr A-Max, .308

The box says 1:10 twist, I have 1:11 twist. I run it through the twist calculator and it says 1:11 is more than good to stabilise the bullets. I use 208 A-max with very good results in a 300WM 1:11 twist.........am I missing something here?

Listen to Brian Litz - he says 1:11is fine for that bullet, you can even get away with 1:12! ;D

Here is 12 shots at 880 yds using 178amax and the factory barrel (1:12) Savage 12 FTR in 308. From my personal experience with three different 1:12 barrels, you can shoot the 178amaxs in a 1:12. Except for a bad windcall and pulling one, I was quite happy with this for my first time at this range. Drew
