17" Turnado

This was pulled from the maintenance shop (looks to me like it could use a little of that maintenance itself) and was bestowed upon us in the tool room. They pulled two perfectly good vertical milling machines and set them aside to make room. I have no idea what we're going to us this for, we have four lathes already. Still have four mills left after they took the two.

That was South Bend’s effort in a gear head lathe.

The BP I have in my barn came to me in a similar manner. Removed to make room for something else, bought at book value in 1989 dollars, $520.

Normally, maintenance gets hand me downs from the tool room, at least in most companies I've worked at.

Yeah kinda going in the wrong direction. One of the pulled mills is just sitting off to the side, I have my eye on it. Been trying to find out what the plan for it is but no one seems to know. It's a Kondia and it hasn't been anyone's favorite machine.
