I like IMR 8208 in the 17 Fireball pushing 20gr Noslers for PD's. Wanted to run 25gr bullets for coyotes but didn't want to use up the 8208 so I used H335 and it works very well lit with CCI 450. Didn't try the 8208 on the 25 grainers but it likely would work well there too.Anyone have a good powder/ primer combination for 25 grain. I use VV N-133 in my 6ppc and was thinking of trying it in the 17 fireball.
any suggestions?
I was thinking of using my 17 FB with 25 gr Bergers, but I was concerned that I might get too many runners. I only carried it on a few trips and honestly don't remember. I know I killed 3 or 4 coyotes with it but wasn't happy with the weight of the gun so I built a light weight 221 FB for my night ventures.I was thinking of using my 17 FB with 25 gr Bergers, but I was concerned that I might get too many runners. In my .17 Rem I had poor luck with any 25 grain bullet, but the 30 grain Berger was like a lightning bolt. Bang, flop and no exit. They should bring the 30 grain Berger back.I was thinking of using my 17 FB with 25 gr Bergers, but I was concerned that I might get too many runners. How has that combination worked for you?
I believe that’s the exact powder and charge I’m running on a 20 V Max. Very accurate. This works for me
