.17 predator...really need your guys help!!

I really value everyones knowledge on here, so i figured id ask. Im going to build a .17 predator using 30gr pills (.270bc). I will probably take some coyote's out here but under 200 yards. Ive already considered the fireball, remington...etc..but I now know I want a predator. Anyhow heres my plan. Savage target action RB/LP single shot, Shillen match barrel, richards microfit stock, pillar'd and bedded. I would also be using lapua .223 brass to form. I have a leupold vx-L 6.5-20 ( rather use a NF, but already have the leupold). What do you guys think? I dont want to go over 1500 which is why I choose the Savage action.

I have a 17MachIV that I shoot 30 Golds and really like the way they shoot (bc .271). I run then at 3850fps out of a Lilja 1:9 using RE10x. It is very accurate and flat used on prarie dogs and is my coyote calling rifle. These little bullets are amazing at what they will do especially on coyotes. I think any 17 you do shooting 30gr bullets you will be happy with. Be sure to do the 1:9 twist for the heavier bullets. My rifle was a 700 Classic in 221 Fireball that I rebarelled so my cost was under $1500. Shoots 1inch or less at 300yds. I also have a Leupold 6.5x20. You are on the right track. Good luck.

I`m having a .17WCH built after my April rat trip...

I`m using my Remmy. 700 PSS in .223 and having it re-barreled..it is already outfitted with a Jewell trigger/ Leupold 3 to 10 power scope and a Harris bipod...

Pac Nor already has my barrel in the works, they will also be furnishing a new bolt for this one.....

Can`t wait...

The .17 Predator is a great choice too.....
