17 hornet reloading components ?

So what primers, powder, and bullets does everyone use? I’m brand new to reloading and i plan on using cci 450, cfe blk, and 20g vmax, I have already shot some and 12.6 grains shot pretty well, the reason I’m using the 400s is I was getting flat primers quicker than the 450 as I have a 20” barrel and wanted to push the powder close to max… what other bullets are people shooting? I can’t seem to find much for sale but I want to try some more out, I mainly hunt fox and coyote with this little round

11.8GR 1680 powder w/CCI 400 is amazing. Approach with caution as always.
I prefer the Nosler 20's over V-Max but probably no difference.

I use 12.4 cfe-blk with hornady 15.5 ntx. I use Remington 6 1/2 primers. It wasn’t tilli went to these that my groups shrunk below 1/2”. My rifle is a CZ527 Varmint. Fully pillar bedded

That’s a good combo as-is although the 450’s might bump pressure. Keep in mind that CFE BLK is temperature sensitive so keep your loaded rounds out of the sun.

Those 450’s will give you some crazy numbers on the chrono in my experience.
The 450’s with the Hornet brass can give you a false sense of security if you deem that a pressure signal in the little case.
I just ran the 400’s and didn’t worry about them being flat. Had factory ammo that had flat primers. Never pierced one.

12.2gr 1680 w/20gr Vmax and Rem 7 1/2 is my "go to" load for both of my CZ 527 Varmint model 17 Hornets. I've tried from 12 - 12.4gr of 1680 and 12.2 is what my two CZ's liked best.

I have a friend with the same CZ 527 as mine and he uses 12.4 CFE BLK w/20gr Vmax but I'm not exactly sure what primer he's using.

Generally, I use Fed or CCI primers in all my CF's but I have a ton of Rem 7 1/2's so that's what I use in my 17 Hornets.
