What kind of barrel life do you get out of a 17 fireball and what can I do to prolong it I will be shooting 25 gr bullet going less than 3950

VS30, do a search for barrel life calculator and you should get a hit on one I believe Mike wrote. I think you are worried about a nonexistent problem though. I run 18 1/2 grains of N133 behind the 25 grain V-Max and I bet you find that it runs in the 3500 rounds plus category. Now the .17 Remington to the .17 Eyebunger are a different story!
