17 Cal bullets list?

Midway has the 25 grain Vmax on sale now and a free shipping over $49. As far as their sales go that's still 18 cents a pop.

That must have been some time in the past, I keep and eye their and just looked again and no lots of 25’s for that kind of money.
I just looked again, All I see is 20 grainers. Looked in the reloading room, and what I have is 20's. My bad..
I coulda swore...

;) So now ya need some 25’s?

I thought I had about 1500-2000 6mm, 65 gr vamx’s. Opened up the container and it was 22, 40 and 50 grain vmax. Problem was I just bought more because I thought I was out, lol.

I believe his name is Montana Mize(?). The last time I chatted with him on the phone the number I have is 254-784-9533. His 30gr BTHP shoot very well. At that time he was considering taking on some 20 Caliber bullets to make too. I wish there were more chucks, crows, and coyotes to shoot them at around here. Amazing. WD
Contacted Montana about 1 year & 1/2 ago... ordered A lot of .17 Bullets from him . talked good Together .. I thought It was all a go .. I guess not
.. Sadly He Won't return my texts , I hope he is OK ..I do Believe I was unfriended on Facebook ...Had money in hand and I'm a Cordial Fellow .. so What went wrong I dont know .. Maybe he Sold the Equipment .If he's not going to Try to make a Go of it Hell ....I will ! looking for the best bullet for 17/223. for Squirrel up to coyote
. I dont think the 15.5ntx are heavy enough for a 300 yard Yote...! I have a 17_204 with 30's so I'm just looking for a Lighter load out of a Lighter rifle ! thinking 20's idk .. 25's better at 300... than 15.5's yet still great for Small Critters .

What are all the different 17 Cal bullets available?

You see a lot of different ones talked about, but I never see them in the shooters supply websites.

What are all the different options out there?
With my state being lead free now, on game and non-game animals, I use only the one's from Nosler and Hornady at this point, 15.5 grain mostly in all my 17 calibers. But I will add they work well and often work better than the lead one's I used before.

I picked up 10 boxes of 100 of these 17 caliber 15.5 grain polymer tip lead free boat tail from Midway. It was one of those repackaged deals they wouldn't say manufacturer. They call them factory seconds but I've not found any defects. I think Hornady makes them for CCI rimfire ammo but not sure about that. The tip is kind of a chocolate brown almost maroon.
I have LOTS of varmint bullets like VMAX in .224, .20 and .17, Blitz Kings in .224, etc. for trade....... I also have a pretty varied stockpile for other calibers. if You need something - maybe a deal?

That guy stuck it to a friend of mine for several hundred $ worth of bullets. I believe I'd avoid getting into any arrangement with him.

Sorry, I already traded them for some of the old stock Remington 25 grain plated HP.

Sound advice. Only way to deal with this type of fella is face to face.

I haven't had any need to contact him for several years now and it was a challenge to just contact him. WD

Have only shot 30 grain Kinder's and Berger's out of my 17 Remington. Got may very best accuracy from the long discontinued flat based 30 grain Berger's. My rifle is now my dedicated yote rifle and is only checked on the range one or twice a year. Have a 1 in 9 twist barrel so as per Todd's advice, never shot any bullets lighter than 30 grains. My 17 is a joy to to shoot, but the lack of quality bullets, make me question any idea of a replacement barrel. I realize this is December 2020 and nothing is out there for retail sale, but have been thinking for the past few years, the 17 may be on the 19 path. Base my thinking on custom small batch bullet makers not the big companies. If I live long enough, may be going to a 20.

Have you ever tried these 32 grain from Reed's? I see they are back ordered for now.

I have not seen Reeds ever show much in stock. Dunno if they make them after ordered or not.

Black Hole shows they offer 30 grain for the 17’s and up to 60’s for the 20’s!
When I whittle down my supply I am going to try some.
Be nice if there was an up to date current list of 17-19-20 caliber makers.

I would like to “test drive” one of the 19’s. But one sole provider of projectiles spooks me to an extent.

Maybe Sierra will step up and make a .19 Sierra cartridge. May as well build rifles too, Nosler seems to have done OK with theirs.
