17 ack hornet

I have a T/C Contender Bullberry SS 14" in 17AH and it's one of my favorite barrels ever - and it's a pistol length barrel.

I can tell you that it's great on smaller game although I killed a 65 pound Javelina with it here in Arizona at about 175 yards,I wouldn't recommend that range unless you have a very steady rest, my shot was all about bullet placement).

You can get a jillion reloads from a pound of powder and reasonably-loaded brass will just about last forever. It's not too loud, recoil is non-existent and the fun-factor is over the top as far as I'm concerned. Brass is cheap and plentiful - what's not to like? Everyone should have at least three guns in this caliber!

Good luck on your choice!

I have two Coopers in 17AH. This past year they have killed more PD's for me than any other caliber. Second only to the 20VT. The 17AH is absolute FUN!
