Is it possible with 7-08 or 7x57, maybe their Ackley versions?

why bother when you can load a straight 284 with a quality lapua case and easily and accurately get 2900, not to mention longer brass and barrel life with the reduced pressures

I ran my 7-08 at 2800 with the amax. H4350 at book max powder charge. No crazy pressure signs.

It's too fast for my 7x57, I used IMR 4831. However, my 7mm is also a 1908 DOM Argentine Mauser, not a new weapon.

If you haven't built the rifle yet you would be well advised to do the 284 Win option. If you already have both of these calibers you can get close with a 7x57 in a newer stronger action than what I have.
