Yup… that’s the enticement, but……..Josh cleaning a piston gun over a DI is a breeze.
Break it open clean barrel/chamber wipe off BCG on a rag and your done.
No chasing all that powder residue in your upper.
I already have 5 of them in various barrel lengths and weights that I hardly shoot anymore because I don’t have the time. If I get a break, I’ll take my custom bolt guns.
I have my obligatory stash of SHTF ammo for them and with component prices the way they are, I hesitate to burn any of that up. I already know the guns shoot well if I need to grab one.
The Stag Varminter sees a little use because it’s heavy barrel prints small groups. The accuracy bug I have keeps me grabbing the bolt guns.
