154 grain Hornady 7mm weatherby load data. RL22

Hello all...

Ive consulted 3 books and have found little data on this load. Does anyone know what is the starting and maximum book load for a 154gr Hrn Sst and RL22 in a 7mm weatherby.

Thank you guys!

According to the Nosler manual I have 64.5 is a starting load and 68.5 is max>>>>That is with a 160gr Nosler Partition... The Partition probably has a longer bearing surface than the 154Hornady so you should be VERY safe using their data..

Steve's reloading page shows 58.3 starting and 75.8 grs max with a 154-162. I would think 65 to start. Dave

well my 7th edition Hornady's manual shows 75.8 grs of RL22 with a 154 gr. as max. You didn't say also if you're using the spire point or an SST or Interbond. Although Hornady gives the same loading for all. but to answer you're question, Steve's numbers are what he has worked up personally. But i find his minimum and close to top loads are in line with reloading manuals. Hornady list 65 grs as their starting point and uses Remington cases and mag primers. As usual, lots of powder, cases and your rifle may give higher pressures sooner. Dave
