154 gr. 6.5 target bullets from a reliable

hello,
I have received info from a reliable source about a new 154 grain 6.5 target bullet that will stabilize in 7.5 and 1 in 8 twists. Ant substance to this rumor?

Gene so

I have a hard time thinking a 154 grain bullet is going to stabilize in an 8 twist barrel. It might at certain altitudes, but that doesn't mean it should be advertised that way. Even 7.5 seems slow.

Shot the 155 Sierra Matchking for several years in a 8 twist barrel. It's going to depend on the length of the bullet.

Bob Cauterucio is offering a 155gr vld-type 6.5mm bullet if that is the one you are thinking of.
Brian Litz tested it, says it WILL stabilize in a 1:8" twist. Stability Factor is 1.58 in the 8" twist. Recommended twist for optimal performance is 1:8.2" or faster. G7 is .333. Bullet is 1.460" in length.
Price is $47.50 per hundred, plus shipping.

Bob sent me an Email two weeks ago. You can contact him at www.bcbullets@sbcglobal.net.

hope this helps,

Rich

Sure they are not talking about the 155 gr EOL Berger is developing? It is stable in a 1:8
