153.5 berger/153ATIPS load data 6.5x284

OAL OF 3.111 shows 2940 fps at about 54,300 psi.

That would be nice Americans love velocity LOL

I could probably get it up to 3050 all the reading of did 2950 is a sweet spot for accuracy 3050 is also a sweet spot. But who am I, I'm just an idiot. " Got that off Joe Rogan "

Thanks for all your help

What barrel length does Hornady use for those numbers ?
Strange but, while they show barrel length for some calibers, there is no listed barrel length for 6.5-284 data on their website. It has been so long since I owned a 6.5-284 there were no heavy for caliber bullets available (except the old round nosed 160 grain).

I went ahead and broke down and bought some 153.5 grain Berger long-range hybrids.
Hope they shoot as good or better then the Hornady 140 grain Eld that I'm currently using. Better would have to be in the twos or threes though, because the Hornady can shoot 10 shots at .4 @ 100 yards. Thing is I only have 150 CCI br-2 primers left and I'm starting to get really pissed off that there is none available, I will take CCI 250 mag primers, Winchester large rifle primers, Federal gold medal match primers , wolf large rifle primers. and Remington 9 1/2 large rifle
I'm having my cousin look around Tennessee even for primers he said they might have Winchester large rifle.

And these people on here trying to sell powder and primers for outrageous prices .....they should be banned!!!
Bunch of hoarding %$#@&#

Found 1000 primers CCI br-2 extremely cloudy out today but zero wind loaded 5 Berger 153.5 long range hybrid targets.

51.5 H-4831SC
LAPUA BRASS
CCI-BR 2
Put three in the same hole at 100 yards and told myself I'm not even going to shoot the other two.
Funny thing is ''to me anyhow'' They hit the same point of aim as the Hornady 140 grain Eld.

Thought For sure there would be a point of aim shift. Well that just makes it easier for when I shot the 140. When I run out of Hornady 140 I will just shoot the berger 153.5. Because I believe less powder will save Barrel life.

And I'm going to take the bergers 153.5 out to a mile this summer..... Cannot wait.

Anyone have any load data for the 6.5 * 284 Norma shooting 153 grain projectiles . I have h4350 and h4831sc reloader 17 to start off with. I know you can use h1000 and reloader 26 for super velocity but cannot find any. And a few other powders reloader 19 reloader 22 N165 can't find any of these either so I think I'm going to start with h4831sc first then try reloader 17 just to see if I get more velocity but most important I am looking for the most accurate load of course. But I would like to be around 2,900 feet per second with that grain of projectile if possible barrel length is 28 inches.

Thanks for your help
I did these with 4831 sc and found 43.4 produced 1 hole 5 shot group 6.5 set at 2.980 our a 1 7.5 mc Gowan 5r barrel

We're using 4831 at 2675 fps to get velocity up am switching to reloader 26 or h1000
