150 LRAB

I've got a gen 1 R700 TI in 7-08. I've always shot 120 tsx in other 7-08's, but I've got a couple boxes of 150 LRABs. I know the bc isn't as high Nosler would like us to believe, and I'v her=ad that they are a bit soft, but it still seems like it should be a good balance of ballistic and terminal performance, at 7mm-08 speeds. Anyone with a good starting point?

We shoot them in 7 Mags on deer, 25-400 yd shots, knocks their butts in the dirt Right there on the spot!

They do not like to be seated to touch the lands in our rifles, quite a jump in fact.

Thanks- it works out nicely that they like some jump, as the factory throat is too long to get to the lands. Guess I'll see how they do.

I have a 7-08 AI being chambered at this time, throated specifically for the 150 ARAB. I have had a few folks tell me, .100 jump is a good place to start with them. What is your experience?

Mulligan, you never know what kind of jump they will like.

They drove me crazy till I started jumping the heck out of them.

Prudent to start at .060 shoot two shot groups, and jump an additional .015 on successive two shot groups till you get to about .120 jump.

Maybe your dumb luck to have the only rifle in America that likes for them to Jam .003!

A friend shoots PRS with them in an AR 10 with the 150 LRAB loaded to mag length with amazing results.
