148 grain DEWC

Was watching a video last night and the Co. name came up , so I looked them up and didn't see" out of stock" Just ordered these bullets from RimRock Bullets. Anyone out there shoot their bullets or have done business with them . They seem to have a lot of bullets in stock.

Yes, Rimrock is one of my favorites. Good folks to deal with and lot's of choices. Missouri Bullets is good as well.

Aye, Rim Rock makes most excellent bullets. Buffalo Bore uses Rim Rock in some of their loads.

Never used them, but I've read a lot of good reports about them. That 148 grain wadcutter bullet is a good defense projectile, it punches a full caliber hole in whatever it hits.

I used wadcutters as a defence round in my S&W snub 38 spl. Most real defence guns are small and concealable , used for up close and personal . Never liked the over powered rounds , 21 foot rule and have to hit what your pointing at, otherwise go with a longer barrel and practice long. Thanks for answering.

That's good to hear , I ordered blindly , everything has dried up in my area and don't see any change coming soon , can't even get 22 lr.thanks for answering .

Wad cutters are absolutely perfect for target work. Shooting our club winter pistol league for years trying to make regular bullets "get it done" with no results. Since I only shoot revolvers one of the old timers there told me to go with wad cutters. Now I only shoot them, Speer and Hornady and they are hollow base but I did try the double ended. Finally found a load that gives me these results in 357 brass. Target distance is 50 feet.

I got my coated DEWC from Acme Bullets in Wisconsin. You have to keep checking their web site as bullets go in and out of stock.

148gr DEWC's are accurate and cheap to shoot....I even load 357 cases with them with great success

That's the direction I'm going in , shooting only was cutters in my revolvers . If you can keep all your rounds in the black, that's good shooting. To test my reloads I built a pistol rest , held the 1911 dead steady , will be starting one for my revolvers. My 1911's have CT Laser grips at 10 yards with a rest the groups are one big ragged hole of 1inch .
Once sighted in without the rest they open up for sure , at 74 I'm not as steady , still love shooting . I found using Charcoal lighter fluid does an excellent job and using the charcoal lighter fluid which has more oil then regular , it leaves the right amount for protection . Will see if it works for the wadcutters . Thanks for answering my post and keep up the good shooting , Be Well.

Acme bullets I will keep on my list of manufacturers , ist a shame what's going on , I like to be loyal to certain sellers , now that's out the window unless you were smart enough to have a good inventory . Now I buy in bulk which I'm sure adds to the problem . I never got into shooting but for now on will shoot all wadcutters in my revolvers.. thanks for answering.

I'm using my 148 spl. DEWC in my 3" 357 . It creates more of a problem in cleaning the cylinders , how much more are you loading your magnums from specials? Will be looking for some mag. cases to test . Thanks for answering.
