That's definitely a start. You'll certainly get much better performance from your 260 with the 147s than the Hornady data. Depending in bbl length of course.See the attached PDF. This is from hornadys website.
I will be doing some load development later this summer with h4831sc and imr 7828ssc.
Has anyone developed any good loads for this bullet? I'm using 140 A MAX. and wondering how to wor from those loads. How much should I change from H4831 or H4350 for the 147 ELD-M?
You are going to be at a full case or slightly compressed with H4831. Based on Hodgdon data (142 grain and 160 grain), I would expect your max load to be about 47 grains. It will depend to some degree on how far out you can seat the bullets to maximize case capacity.
Again based on Hodgdon data, I would expect max H4350 to be about 44 grains. Case probably not quite full.
Toss up as to which powder may be better.
