.14 Squirrel

Very beautiful set up. I have a Contender in 17 squirrel barrel and would like to have a 14 squirrel. I do have a14 Walker hornet and 14/221 barrel for Contender also.

Beautiful rig!!! Nice work by both you and Marty putting this beauty together.
The 14 Squirrel is arguably one of the most fuel efficient 14 caliber rounds you can go with.
I know the 14 short and long rifle guys are going to chime in in here and blast me hard but I did say ONE of the most fuel efficient 14 calibers out there.

All of my reloading data on the 14 Squirrel is for much longer barrel lengths so the data won't be of much help to you. The longer barrel lengths I used both loved H4227 but that's not going to be of much help to you with the shorter barrel length on your rig.

It looks like from the picture that Marty set you up with an 11 degree crown on it as well. 2 BIG thumbs up there for sure.

Please keep us posted on how you progress with it. It should be a heck of a lot of fun.

As always stay on target,
Carl C.

The Squirrel family for the small calibers is ideal. Plenty of brass, easy to form, ideal case capacity.

I'm not sure why the picture looks so blurry here.
Until just recently .22 hornet brass was plentiful

We carry the .14 cal blanks. MGM does great barrel work for T/C (as well as many others). We also make the bullets. We also have the reloading books for .10, .12, and .14
