I spoke with the gunsmith a few day ago, all the work is done on the barrel job and it should be shipped this week. I expect to post some pictures next week. Below is a .14/221 next to a 20 Vartarg.

John, glad that is a small caliber. That but plate looks like it would hurt a guy. I like the fluting on the bolt also. Rifle looks like it will be a shooter.

Got some ammo loaded and the weather is promising, maybe I'll get to shoot it this week.

Just got back from the range, I tried 4 loads starting with the minimum load for a 13 gr. bullet in Eichelbergers book. The minimum loads shot pretty poor groups in the 2" range, but they tightened up as I progressed and the fastest load shot the best groups of the day including the picture below.
The 1 inch group size in light wind while not great is a good start considering this my first try at .14 caliber.
The bullet was a 13.0 gr. HP lead core from Reed's traveling around 3780 FPS.
